Stamping Saturdays #56

Heeeeeeeeey! Can you tell how excited I am? The reason why I’m so happy is because I have a 4 day weekend and I’m going to be the laziest person in the history of the world. In fact, I’m still in my pj’s right now and I don’t care what anyone thinks. Last night my friend and I decided to go watch 50 Shades of Grey. I know, I know. The theater was packed which didn’t really surprise me, but I was surprised at how bad the movie was. The books were so poorly written that they made me want to barf, but they were somewhat entertaining so I thought maybe the movie wouldn’t be too horrible but it was. I think Jamie Dornan is hot lava, but I don’t think he was what I was expecting for the Christian Grey character. On the other hand, Dakota Johnson was good in he role. Overall, the movie was choppy and just strange. When I got home, I saw that I had gotten some free passes in the mail (thanks, OPI!!), so I’m going to give them away so they don’t have to be mad like me about paying full price to see this film. Anyway, let’s move on from putrid films to awesome nail polish! For today’s Stamping Saturdays I have another holo beauty to show you.

Orly Mirrorball 1Orly Mirrorball 2Orly Mirrorball 3I had such a hard time finding Orly Mirrorball, so when I finally found a bottle, I freaked out. It’s a really gorgeous and delicate linear holo with small holographic glitter. The formula felt a little thin, so be prepared to apply 3 coats

123I used a delicate stamp from Konad plate M73 and Mentality Black Opaque stamping polish. I really like how this turned out.

What do you think about this mani? I hope your weekend is going well and that you enjoy your long weekend if you get Monday off. Thanks for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.

These are really pretty and I love that orly mirrorball! I’m not surprised that the movie sucked, but I never even read the books (not my style) so what do I know. :p Sorry about wasting your $13 bucks though!

As always, beautiful stamped mani. I was at lunch earlier and there was a trio of older ladies at the table beside me chatting about the movie and these ladies were probably in their seventies or so. But what was funny was the comments they were making and the girl talk but the comment that stuck with me was one old lady saying she didn’t need to see it, she was saying been there done that and there was no news for her. She thought that the new young brides though might enjoy it. I thought that was funny since in my mind old ladies were just plain vanilla. Obviously the one is def a TuttiFrutti kind of gal. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Mirrorball is one of my favorite polishes. You captured it beautifully! Great stamping combo!

I am still in my pajamas…it’s 4:30, lmao. I got up early to take Chelsea to the airport & did laundry…that’s about it!
I like the delicate stamp over the sparkly holo!
I’m sure I’ll end up seeing 50 Shades at some point. It looks SO BAD…which is why I kind of want to see it, lol.

I absolutely love this. I’ll have to check Amazon for that konad plate. It’s too cute. 🙂

Love this! I’m a sucker for a strong linear holo! I tried to read the 50s books, but only made it 1 chapter into book 3 before I thought FTS.

I am so ridiculously in love with this manicure!
As per the movie, I refuse to see it and refuse to read the books. I’m sorry that you had to sit and watch it!

I loved this combo!! I think this one is one of the prettiest you have done, at least in my humble opinion. And I haven’t read the books, mainly because I found out my mother in law was reading them and after reading a couple of pages at her house, I just got weirded out by the book and the fact that my mother in law was reading them. Is that bad? I’ll probably see the movie once it comes out on the movie channels for free, I refuse to spend money on that movie if it’s as bad as everybody says it is. 🙂
