Stamping Saturdays #17

Holy shitballs you guys…I had a bad day yesterday. My day was a perfect comedy of errors so it’s not like something horrendous happened to me, it was just that EVERYTHING was going wrong. I ended up going to dinner with a friend and then we ended up drinking (a lot of beer–ha!) and watching the show My Strange Addiction. Do you know how much stranger that show is when you’re wasted? I am miraculously not hung over this morning which is great considering that I needed to put this post together. Thankfully I had completed my manicure yesterday when it was 5,000 degrees–even my fingers were sweating! Anyway, let’s get the polish show on the road!

OPI In The Cable Car-pool Lane 1OPI In The Cable Car-pool Lane 2OPI In The Cable Car-pool Lane 3For my base color, I used OPI In The Cable Car-pool Lane (press sample) which is simply goygeous. It is so shiny and squishy. I’m still loving the whole San Francisco Collection despite popular opinion.

MoYou London Pro Collection 18For my stamped design, I use my MoYou London Pro Collection 18 plate (press sample) and Essie Good As Gold.

MoYou London Pro Collection 18 1MoYou London Pro Collection 18 2MoYou London Pro Collection 18 3I really like how this turned out! I know this isn’t a very Spring/Summer manicure, but I don’t care. I will always wear whatever I’m in the mood for and this is what I wanted to wear yesterday.

It’s supposed to be a lot cooler this weekend (not in the 90’s) so I’m looking forward to not sweating while I sit on the couch and just watch TV. I’m also hoping to get some swatching done but there was a Zoya tragedy at the hands of Peanut yesterday. I’ll leave the story for the actual post. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that you’ll link up your posts if you are participating in Stamping Saturdays. Have a great day, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. First of all, love the mani. Second of all, I have to say that I’ve been following you for awhile now and have found your posts highly entertaining. You really just put yourself out there and for that, major props. I think it’s only fair that since I get to enjoy your posts, I should start commenting more regularly. Looking forward to getting to know you more this way 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Amanda! I too follow your blog and have been reading for a while. Sometimes it’s hard to find the time to comment, but I am working on that because I know how much it means to me when people comment.

  2. I hope today is better for you. Painting nails in the extreme heat or extreme cold is difficult, but we’d never know it just by looking at this mani of perfection. Fantastic job and perfect photos! Now I am kicking myself over the fact that Cable Carpool is still in my untrieds. Got to remedy that one, ASAP!

  3. Gorgeous stamping – I love the combo, even if it isn’t “seasonal”!

I’ve had one (or more…) of those comedy of errors days recently, myself; you’ve got my total sympathy. To paraphrase Liz Lemon, why is everything always the worst?!?

I’m ready for this heat wave to end, too! I’m spending energy whining about the heat that I really should be using to whine about other things!!! 😉

Anyway, here’s hoping the next week treats you better!

  4. This is so classy looking. It looks like you have curved nails like I do — what stamper do you use? One of the squishy ones?

    1. My nails are so curved that it’s crazy. I almost always use my Konad stampers which are pretty stiff. I’ve tried using a squishy stamper but I just can’t get the hang of it 100%. I will keep trying, though, because a lot of people say they work a lot better.

  5. I loved sf collection.. I love dark colors, but i’m more likely to use neon.. I think it is because the weather is always hot in panama

I cant remember the last time i was hungover.. Maybe like 3 years ago. I do not drink often, and when it happens, rumor has it, is epic. I dont remember a thing.. People asks me to get drunk all the time.. I’m not sure if I’m thar boring or maybe I’m just too fun when drunk.. I wish i could remember..
The secret to avoie a hungover is to drink water between the drinks.. Works all the time.
