Stamping Saturdays #16

Since purple is one of my favorite colors, I remember being obsessed with getting every purple and lilac polish known to mankind when I first started hoarding collecting nail polish. One of the very first polishes that made me swoon is OPI Do You Lilac It? and it is still a favorite. I decided to use it as the base color for my mani today so let’s take a look…

OPI Do You Lilac It 1OPI Do You Lilac It 2This is two buttery coats of OPI Do You Lilac It?, and it is still as gorgeous as I remember it.

While I’m not in love with this final design, I think it is pretty. It’s a little more “girlie” than I tend to do, but sometimes change is good, right? Don’t forget t check out the other Stamping Saturdays looks below.  Also, if you’re interested in joining us in Stamping Saturdays, feel free to link your stamped manis below as well. We’d love to see what you come up with. As always, thanks for stopping by!

This is gonna start rude and end nice.

First off… I hate that stamp!! It always looks so, like, frail. Ugh. Howeverrrrrrr—– I LOVE IT HERE!!!! Something about that to die for purple gradient underneath and just the combination of such a pretty gradient with such a dainty stamp… I actually am going to use it sometime now. Turning hate into love… That’s what you do best. You gently, dainty, soft-spoken soul, you.

Dang it!! I hate when a typo ruins an expertly crafted comment. *gentle.

I love that lilac polish and thought you were about to ruin it…but the gradient and stamping are sublime! The whole look is beautiful

Beautiful stamping, perfect for spring! Your nails are always so insanely shiny, what top coat do you use?

    1. 27 April, 2014 at 6:08 pm

I swear by Seche Vite. No matter how many other top coats I try, I always come back to SV. 🙂

I am so envious of your stamping and gradient abilities! I’ve been working on mine, but it is still full of fail! D:

    Man, your gradients…*thumbs up*.
I think the purple colors are “you”, but maybe the stamp is not? It looks nice, though, and yes, it’s always good to try different stuff out (even when it’s *not* good, lol).

Yeah, totally. I agree that the colors are me but the flowers are kind of not….which is why I’m having a hard time with the cherry blossoms. UGH!

OMG, I am scared of that one. I think I can manage…something…but I know they’re going to look so turd-ish compared to everyone else’s. I think I’m going to do them next weekend when I get back because I’m going to need A LOT of time to make something presentable, lol.
