Sorry

I feel like such a turd for the lack of posts that will probably extend through the end of this week. The truth of the matter is that besides getting used to my new work schedule, I am also battling a horrible cold–or maybe even the flu. At this point, I don’t care. All I know is that I’m miserable. I seem to go through spans of hours where it’s not so bad and then it hits me like a ton of bricks. I had so much stuff that I wanted to share this week and now it looks like all of that is going to have to wait until I start to feel better.  I am on twitter and facebook sporadically but just don’t have it in me to do new manis. In fact, I tried to do one today and it looked so bad that I just took it off.

When I got to work today in the morning, my co-worker looks at me and he asks, “You didn’t even do your hair this morning. You must feel real bad.” Gee, thanks. hahahaha We are pretty friendly so I didn’t take it amiss. In fact, I told him that I would go to bed extra early tonight so I could wake up early and do my hair so he wouldn’t tell me it looks like crap again. Everyone thought that was pretty funny and I love making people laugh–even if it’s at my expense–so all was good. I pretty much have a hazmat bubble around my desk so everyone has been staying away–NICE!

So that’s where I’m at at this point. I am looking forward to getting back on a more regular schedule because I miss doing my nails so much! Thanks for stopping by despite the lack of new posts. <3

Edit: After I posted this, I remembered another funny thing that happened: I was taking some meds which I hate cause they taste horrible. So I said: “Ugh, this stuff tastes like ass!” So the same guy who teased me about my hair says: “Uhm, I am NOT going to ask you how you know what ass tastes like.” So then I responded: “You know what I mean!” And he says, “Oh, yes…” At that point a few other people got involved and the conversation went to a place that it should never go at the workplace. Great…now I’m going to be known as THAT person in the office. Oh well…it could be worse, right?

  1. this might help: drink 1 tablespoon apple cider vinger in a mug of hot water, mixed with honey. you can also try chugging a tiny amount (1/4 tsp or less) of cayenne powder in some hot water but make sure you drink it immediately if you try this. Or just sprinkle some cayenne on your food. Also try garlic, horseradish. Seems like I’m forgetting a few things. This helped we get through what felt like the flu but was really just weather shifting last week. Felt awful. Hope you feel better!

    1. Those suggestions sound so brutal. lol I know a lot of those types of remedies work but I am such a baby about that kind of stuff. Luckily, I think I am starting to feel better.

  2. Awww it sounds like you have some nice coworkers! If someone is already teasing you that’s a good sign. Your hair is so short I thought it’d look nice always!! That sucks that I was wrong! Haha. Sorry you’re still feeling so awful. It’s gotta get the heck out soon!!!

    1. LOL…omg, about my hair…everyone else was saying how they liked my hair better straight (I had just blow dried it) instead of curly. So the guy says, that he didn’t mean it looked bad–just that I didn’t have any product and it didn’t look “made up.” Uh huh. lol I think I am starting to feel better and I hope it’s not temporary. I just need to kick this rotten cold/flu to the curb.

  3. I hope you feel better pronto! Oh well, someone has to be THAT person at work ya know. Do they know about your nail obsession yet??

    1. LOL…so true. Now after I say anything–innuendo or not–people say “HR ISSUE” hahahaha. They don’t know about my nail obsession yet and I probably won’t let them know about my blog ever. I haven’t really been painting my nails much yet so maybe once i’m not half dead, I will start painting them more and some people may notice.

    1. I know…it’s horrible. 🙁 It’s such a shitty way to start work. Thankfully, it seems that today is the first day that I’m starting to feel a little better so I hope that it just continues until I’m 100% again. Amd yeah…people are just thinking I’m the inappropriate weirdo. Sometimes people think I’m shy but I think work makes me kinda nuts. I am super talkative and I joke around and always volunteer for stuff when everyone is trying to hide. lol

    1. hahaha. I think it’s sometimes more fun working with a lot of guys because I think so many girls are too….girlie! I am so sad that I’ve been so busy and sick to do much lately. 🙁

  5. Laughing at the hair comment. I remember once in math class in high school, we sat in these blocks of four desks. One of the guys in my block was like a jock guy who I’d never normally interact with and once, after I’d been out sick, he said something like, “Were you out sick? You kind of look like it,” or something and I was like, “Actually, I feel a lot better today, but, thanks.” Hahahaha.
Oh, dear, conversations at my job would never quite go *there.* We definitely have inappropriate conversations and we definitely swear a lot, but not quite in that vein. :p
I would say “I hope that you feel better,” but I think that you do by now!
