Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well on this sunny Wednesday. Today I have a special polish to share with you: OPI Taylor Blue.

Bottle Shot 1OPI Taylor Blue was created for The Taylor’s Gift Foundation, and all proceeds from this polish go towards financially assisting those touched by organ donation. I suggest that you head on over to the Taylor’s Gift website so you can learn more about what they do, and also learn more about Taylor’s story. This is directly from their mission statement:

Taylor’s Gift Foundation was founded in 2010 with a mission to Regift Life, Renew Health and Restore Families.

Increasing official organ donor registries is just the beginning of our purpose. Current areas of focus include:

  • providing Taylor’s Gift Legacy Gifts to financially assist those touched by organ donation
  • working to change the conversation of organ donation to be a positive one about life
  • sponsoring a rider on the Donate Life Float at the annual Rose Bowl Parade
  • awarding Taylor’s Gift Scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate an above and beyond “Outlive Yourself” spirit
  • providing emotional support from licensed therapists for those touched by organ donation
  • providing affordable lodging for pre-transplant and post-transplant patients and their families

OPI Taylor Blue will be available November 21, 2013.  If you’re interested in purchasing a bottle of Taylor Blue, make sure that you check out their website for more details. Click here for more information. Did you know that only 40% of adults over the age of 18 are currently enrolled in state donor registries? This was rather surprising to me as I am a big supporter and believer in being an organ donor. I’m an organ donor–are you?

  1. Nice blue….must compare to other opi blues…… I have been an organ donor since age 16, when I got my driver’s license. The little pink dot people are cool!

  2. I think it’s a shame that such a small segment of the population are donors, and I think there’s a lot of misinformation about donation–my grandmother refused to register because she was sure if she were in a car accident, paramedics wouldn’t try to save her life if she had “donor” on her license! I just hope that should something terrible happen to me (knock on wood!), I’ll be able to help others improve their own lives after I’m gone.
That is a gorgeous blue, and my husband happens to be named Taylor. I think I need this one! Did it stain at all?

    1. You are totally right that there is a lot of wrong information floating around out there. My mom thought the same thing for a while!! You know what? It didn’t stain at all and I didn’t wear any base coat when I applied it. It is definitely a lovely blue that’s worth getting.

  3. On second thought, maybe I had to wait until I was 18……. But there are certain things in life that one immediately knows is right, even as a teenager. I’m thinking particularly of the Golden Rule, which I was taught in kindergarten. If everyone could follow that one rule the world would be a better place for all.

  4. I went to their website and saw people had been reviewing this polish already. I asked how we could buy it when they release it and was told it had already been released. And they were unsure of any future releases. So I don’t know how you got that November 21 date but it’s not correct. I was excited for this!

    1. That’s strange. That is the date that is listed on their website http://taylorsgift.org/taylorblue/ , but I will check with the person who contacted me about reviewing this and will ask her about it. I doubt they would be contacting people to review it if they don’t have any to sell in the near future–that wouldn’t make sense. I’ll let you know as soon as she gets back to me. I think they do limited releases, but I’ll get some more information asap. Thanks for letting me know!

    2. I got a response from my contact: “The polish was available earlier this year when the polish launched. There were a lot of reviews and talk around the polish then. Then they took it off the market and now are only bringing it back during certain times in the year. It definitely will be available for the holiday season starting November 21 and runs through December 23.”

        1. i feel you girls!!! i need this polish like a baby need her bottle!!

i am shocked that people think is a low percentage of population, here is a lot less..
i was asked 2 months ago if i wanted to be a donor ( i was renewing my id..) i didn’t accepted it. i’m afraid that something will happen you know, maybe they want my kidneys, IDK but my whole family knows i want to be a donor..

my aunt died 12 years ago, she needed a kidney and she spent 5 years waiting for one. she was very young. people should be more considerated, once you’re dead you don’t need your organs anymore.
