So this week I’m going to have a few polishes that will be available this Friday for Polish Pick Up. I am still in a little bit of denial that we are now in June. Where did the time go? I’ve still just been living my worst life in isolation (funny, but not funny?), but I hope that things get better in the near future. I’ve been playing non-stop with polish because that’s really a time consuming hobby since I have to much and organizing stuff is one of the things I love to do. For today’s post, I am going to share with you Music City Beauty Ruby Slippers which is a gorgeous red holo glitter bomb. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.
This type of polish always scare me in the beginning because they can be tricky to apply. I have learned over the years, that the best practice is to apply thin coats and also use a dabbing motion to get good glitter coverage. Another trick is to use a sponge to soak up the excess base and just deposit the glitter. I haven’t tried this myself, but I know it works. I didn’t have any issues with application with the dabbing method so that’s my go-to method. I love how sparkly this polish is. This polish will be available from 6/4/21 – 6/7/21 at polishpickup.com where it will retail for $12.50 and will have a cap of 100 bottles.
If you haven’t heard about PPU, let me give you a quick breakdown: Polish Pickup is a monthly shop that allows you to purchase from a variety of makers for a flat $3 shipping rate. The theme/inspiration is chosen a month in advance and makers will give previews of their creations in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, so don’t forget to join. The shop is open every first Friday-Monday of the month and then the site is closed while orders are filled/shipped. Be aware that shipping can take about 3 weeks so be patient.
