Have you ever had such a great dream that you are super disappointed when you wake up and realize that it wasn’t real? Well, that happened to me this morning. In fact, I was sad and depressed when I woke up. To top it all off, I went to work at the wrong time this morning because I didn’t realize that my schedule change only applies to my weekday shifts so I ended up getting to work at 7:00 instead of 6:00 am. Great! I felt like such a turd, but it was an honest mistake. Work was fairly slow so I ended up catching up on all my blog comments, and I was able to start reading all of the blogposts I have missed this past week.
Today I have a pretty gorgeous polish to share with you: Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Under The Stars. I’m sure that by now, you know what a huge Morgan Taylor fan I am, so let me show you my first glitter polish from this brand.
Oh my GAH! Can you believe how beautiful this polish is? The last picture is out of focus to show you the gorgeous holo glitter bits. This polish really glows in the sun when you get to see it really sparkle. You would think that the dark blue jelly base would completely cover up the beautiful glitter, but it really doesn’t. Even though the first coat looks a little sheer, the second coat made it completely opaque.
I don’t know what’s up with me lately. I’ve been feeling so blah but can’t really figure out why. I’m drowning in apathy here! I’m trying to keep myself motivated but so far it’s not working but I need to get out of this funk right away because I can totally see myself wallowing in self-pity. Maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow since I don’t have to work…if only I never had to go back again. haha! A girl can dream, right? So gorgeous! I wore this one on Wednesday, thanks to your awesome blog sale. : ) I agree–you’d think the almost-black jelly would mess with the holo glitter, but it sparkles beautifully inside and is totally crazy outside. Awesome.
I did find it a beast to apply, though–thick and sticky and goopy. Ugh. The cuticle edge of your polish is much tidier than when I wore it! Did you have any application problems?
To be honest, I didn’t have any problems with it. I think you are right that it is thick but I prefer a thicker polish where I don’t run the risk of flooding my cuticles. I remember when I was first applying it, I kept thinking to myself that it would be a bitch for clean up but I didn’t have to do any clean up! MT has pretty wide brushes (like opi) so they are perfect for my wide nail beds. I’m glad you liked the look of it as much as me. Maybe adding a drop or two of thinner will give you a better consistency?

Oh my, this is some serious stuff here 😛 Looks gorgeous this polish. I have to say, i haven’t seen Morgan Taylor polishes before. Are they any similar to OPI in the texture ect? What about removing the polish? Is it hard to do?
btw hope you find something that get you motivated & happy again. Some periods in life just aren’t as white & fluffy as we would want to, but you stay strong & don’t give up.

I think that the quality of MT is comparable to the salon brands out there. I have mostly been using their cremes and think they are fantastic. They have a brush that is comparable to the OPI Pro-Wide brush which is my favorite brush out there. This polish wasn’t hard to remove, actually, so I was pleasantly surprised. 🙂 Thank you for your positive words. <3
Btw, i’m wearing “Attitude by overall beauty” from picturepolish and it has def something similar to “under the stars”. To me one of the most exciting polishes. 🙂

I also agree with you. I feel totally numb at the moment. I’m at the moment unemployed after the end of my university studies and I’ve searched jobs for month. The energy and enthusiasm I had in the beginning is long gone, which is bad because I really need to keep it up. I’ve also seen a bunch of really awesome nail polish collection out that I really want but I need money to be able to buy them! :-O

I have TOTALLY had such a great dream that I was disappointed to wake up! I kind of had that experience this morning. I went to bed WAY too late, so for a brief instant when the alarm woke me up, I thought it was the weekend, then I realized it was Monday and I had to go to work and was like, nooo!!!
Well, you obviously didn’t know about the schedule situation, so I think as long as you stick to it now, you’ll be fine. It was an honest mistake.
I need to come visit more regularly because I am so gleeful having the experience of seeing you swatch stuff that I now have *bwahaha*! Although…that would be *really* bad for my bank account! 😉
I hope you come out of your funk soon. It does, of course, happen, but it is frustrating.

I work some crazy hours at my work and I have to be on-call. A lot. I had to come to work in the middle of the night once and I forgot. Oops. The sucky thing is I had to rush and get in because the person working before me could not leave until I got there. Talk about shitty haha
