Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Super Ultra Violet

Happy Hump Day! Ok, that sounded totally lame but I’m kind of in a good mood today. Of course now I’m waiting for something to blow up in my face and ruin my recent streak of good luck. Why do we always have to wait and expect bad things to happen? Self-fulfilling prophecy anyone? It’s super warm here today, and I don’t have AC so painting my nails is always interesting because I always think that I can have the fan going while I paint them. And I mean I have the fan going full blast directly on me. If you have ever tried this, you know it’s practically impossible. But does that ever stop me from trying? Nope.

Today I have another Morgan Taylor creme beauty. Seriously: if you love creme polishes, you have to get your hands on some Morgan Taylor polishes. The amazing formula of these polishes really make them worth the hunt if you don’t necessarily have them in your area. Let’s take a look at this indigo-violet pretty…

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Super Ultra Violet is one of those dark vampy colors that are so hot during the fall. I have to admit that while this color is not exactly unique (I’m sure I have a few dupes!), the formula really makes this a stand-out. It’s practically a one coater and it dries incredibly smooth and glossy.

Yay for stamping! I got this swirly design from Mash plate MASH 40 and of course I had to use the absolute best silver stamping polish that I own: Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. For a $1.99, you really can’t beat it.

I’ve been a little MIA on the blog and FB mostly because I’ve been busy with working a lot of overtime. Since I now have that new car payment, I decided to work as many extra hours as I can–otherwise, there will be no pretty polishes in my future. I’ve been really good lately (especially with my blog sale), and I hope I can keep working on that until maybe early August when I will have a visitor who is just as polish obsessed as me. I’m sure we’re going to DESTROY my usual polish haunts. For those of you who have ordered and paid for your polishes, I promise to get them out by Friday. I’m so sorry for the delay! I still have a few emails pending and I promise to get back to you by tomorrow. With all the OT at work, I’ve had to deal with some really horrid customers; Lord beer me strength.

So what do you think of Super Ultra Violet? Is this a color that you would wear? What about the stamping? Yay or nay? Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. Yay for stamping! I tried the Konrad silver stamping polish, and I have to say that this one looks even better! I might have to get it. Thanks for the recommendation!

    1. The only Konad polishes I think are worth investing in are the black and the white. There are tons of other polishes than work great for stamping like a lot of the SH Insta-Dri polishes and the Essie Mirror Metallics. There is another silver that works really well: WNW I Can’t Stand Up Straight and it’s only $1!

  2. Wow I found Morgan Taylor polish online and can’t wait to get them, I also loved the Bettina swatches getting a few of those gorgeous polishes too!!

    1. I am sure you’re going to love them! The formula on these polishes is amazing. Ahh…I’m glad you’re going to get some Bettinas too. 🙂

  3. I really like this combo of the silver and navy blue. This is what a dark blue polish SHOULD be like… there’s no way a color like this shouldn’t be a one coater, but sometimes they’re still miraculously streaky and weird. Yay for streaks of good luck! And- super jealous about your polish rendezvous!

    1. I know, right? SOmetimes the colors you think are the most pigmented end up being big turds. This one is pretty great and I knew it would look great with a silver stamp.

  4. Love that color. It looks so good on you. Yup, you are totally right, this color is perfect for fall and winter. The stamping is flawless like you always make it look and very pretty but that nail polish color is so pretty that I think it looks better on its own 🙂

Hope to see more Morgan Taylor polishes and also other finishes like metallic and/or glitter 🙂

    1. I have a few more MT polishes but they are all cremes except for one that is a shimmery duochrome. I hope it’s not a pain in the butt! They sure know how to make awesome cremes.

    1. It just takes practice, but once you get it you can basically do it with your eyes closed. There are tons of cheap polishes that are good for stamping.

  5. I always tell myself that something is going to go wrong when things are going well, too. My friend always tells me to stop it.
I also think polishing with a fan on will work out OK, no matter how many times it does not.
This color reminds me of a Nicole by OPI color that I have and like, but HATE the formula of.
Well, I know that *I* destroyed your polish haunts, hahaha. You were more judicial about your selections. 🙂

    1. You know what? I think they renamed Silver Mercedes or they reformulated it. I read something about it on their website. I haven’t had to purchase any in a while so I hope they didn’t change the formula! I will be so sad.
