Ugh…here I go making excuses as to why I haven’t posted in a month. Well, you may know that I moved into my new apartment on 5/1 so it’s been really hectic. I pretty much moved on my own and it sucked. Since I moved during a difficult time, deliveries of things like furniture took much longer than expected. In fact, I just received the last of my big furniture orders. I do have my bed (which I had to get replaced since it was damaged during delivery) but I have almost everything else. I haven’t been able to really do the small things like decorative touches, but that’s not really a priority right now. As far as polish is concerned, I still have most of my pretties in storage while I wait to set up my Herlmers. Anywho, today I wanted to share a deliciously shifty polish and sugar scrub. Leave it to KBShimmer to ignite my desire to blog and post again! KBShimmer Secret Menu is a beautiful polish that will be available later this week so let me show you some swatches!
Please excuse my super shorties. I was really hoping that my hands and nails would be in better shape after being destroyed during my move, but this is what I have to work with. Secret Menu is such a shifty beauty! For my swatches I used 3 thin coats. It’s a fairly sheer polish but it does build up nicely. As you can tell, depending on the lighting and angle, you will get different shimmer and shades.
The Hot Summer Nights scrub is really up there on my list of favorite scents–in fact, I think it’s tied with Lime Margarita which is saying a lot. I find it kind of spicy and musky…it’s really nice. Even though I got this as a sample, I will probably buy a back up as well–that’s how much I love it.
If you are interested in purchasing these products, they will be available Friday 6/5/2020 through 6/8/2020 and will retail for $10 each. If you’ve never heard about Polish Pickup, let me give you some information:
Polish Pickup is a monthly shop that allows you to purchase from a variety of makers for a flat $3 shipping rate. The theme/inspiration is chosen a month in advance and makers will give previews of their creations in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, so don’t forget to join. The shop is open every first Friday-Monday of the month and then the site is closed while orders are filled/shipped. Be aware that shipping can take about 3 weeks so be patient.
So what do you think about these two products? Will they be going on your list? Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
