Jindie Nails Moon Walk & A Giveaway!

I’m feeling completely down and dejected lately because of my car issues. I went to a dealership yesterday and to say that the experience was horrid is an understatement. They tried to get me into a used car for $3,000 down and $400 a month for 72 months–that means that I would be paying close to $30,000 for a car that is worth $10,00 if that. Sweet Satan’s butthole! Is that ridiculous or what? I mean, I know my credit is NOT good, but do I need to be impaled up the butt with a financial cactus at every turn? So, I walked away from that feeling like the worst loser on the planet, and I’m still carless. I know that in the grand scheme of things, these are very minor problems, but they feel so overwhelming right now. While I figure things out, I will probably be posting less because I don’t want every single post to be a diatribe of self-pity. You guys have been so awesome and encouraging, so I really appreciate it.

So, despite my craptacular issues, I still want to share pretty polishes with you. Today I have another Jindie Nails limited edition polish for Summer 2013. Since I’m currently obsessed with pink, especially hot pink, Jindie Nails Moon Walk is right up my alley.

Jindie Nails Moon walk is a limited edition polish for Summer 2013 so make sure that you pick this one up if you love the hot pink jelly base with an awesome combination of black and silver chunky glitter (dots, and half moons!) The formula is shimmery–almost like a glass fleck type finish. This polish is a little sheer so 2 coats are necessary to get good coverage. I did have some trouble getting the bigger pieces of glitter out of the bottle so the next time that I wear this, I’ll probably fish out the glitter and place it where I want it.

So what do you think of this polish? Will you be picking it up? To keep up with Jindie Nails news, make sure that you follow Jen at the following:

And here is how a little error in my order ends up benefiting you! One of the polishes I had ordered was left off my shipment and when I contacted Jen about it, she not only fixed it but graciously included an extra polish for a giveaway. This is the first of two polishes that I will be giving away so stay tuned! As an aside, I want to tell you guys that Jen has amazing customer service and will always stand by her products which is rare nowadays. Please use the rafflecopter widget below to enter for a chance to win a FULL SIZED bottle of Jindie Nails Moon Walk. This giveaway is open worldwide, but PLEASE don’t enter if you know that your country has a lot of restrictions regarding shipping/receiving nail polish. Nothing will make me sadder than to mail a polish and hear that it got confiscated at customs.

  1. WTF?!? Crazy shiz right there 🙁 There’s tons of those type of car dealerships around here, they “advertise” how they are able to finance ANYONE. You may look into leasing something for a year or so. I’m not sure what the rates are in Cali for leasing cars, but there’s a few folks around here I know that have done it after having to file bankruptcy, claiming the rates were better than trying to outright finance anything.

    1. I know, right? I was upset and disgusted at the same time. They pretty much think that they can fleece you because your credit sucks. They can shove that car up their ass–no way in hell am I getting talked into something like that. I’m definitely going to keep looking.

  2. I feel your car pain! Have you looked into buying used? I bought a 1995 Buick (I know…) with less than 60,000 miles on it for a little over $2,000. If you’re willing to sacrifice looks for function, you might be able to find a gem. I wish you all the best and hope you are able to find something reasonable soon!

Your swatches are beautiful. I’m so glad I ordered this mini from Jindie Nails. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Jen! I am looking into probably getting a used car so hopefully that works out. I think I definitely have to check my priorities because function should be my main concern, but don’t we all want a pretty car? 🙂 Right now, I think I just need to focus on something I can afford and that will get me around safely.

Ooh! What others did you order, if any? I had a hard time when I was deciding what to order.

    1. LOL…I have been talking about getting a Vespa forever but that’s not really practical here since everything is freeways here. I did join instagram but I barely understand how to use it. hahaha

  3. Car dealerships are awful! I’m working at a mechanic’s this summer and one guy came to have his new used-car checked over…it turns out that the car had suffered big time front and rear damage that the dealership covered up by trying to replace parts and didn’t disclose it. Plus he paid more than he should’ve anyways. Car salesmen are a bunch of shysters!
In other news, this is a very pretty polish. I don’t have any Jindies in my stash yet!

    1. Omg, that is exactly what I’m scared about. I am so scared of getting swindled that way. I will definitely be getting whatever car I get totally checked over. It’s just all such a mess right now and it’s stressing me out big time. Anyway, yes…this polish is so cute and vibrant. You have to get on the Jindie Nails train!

  4. Ugh I’m sorry to hear about the car issues. Do you have any friends who are good with cars? If so I’d suggest hitting up Craigslist or Cars.com to look for something used, and have your friend come along to check out the car with you. I have never owned a new car, and I’ve never paid more than $3,000 for a used one that lasted me just fine. It might not be the prettiest car on the block, but you can probably find one that will serve most of your needs.

And oh yeah… beautiful polish! 😉

    GOOD LUCK!!

    1. I think I definitely have to focus on function and not looks. I would love a pretty car, but that’s just not in my budget so I have to focus on something that’s going to get me around. I’m hoping that I get this done now because this whole public transportation thing is kind of a nightmare. But hey, I am getting some good exercise so that’s a plus!

    1. Oh, these are definitely worth the wait. The whole summer collection is pretty fantastic. I think that the only way I can really cope with this stuff is through humor so I’m glad I can at least make other people laugh. 🙂

  5. My husband was in car sales for a minute (he hated every day and quit as soon as he could, which is why I could still marry him). He said yeah, they will finance anyone but that in no way means the terms will be any good or reasonable. They also make a crapload of money off of used cars and pretty much nothing on new cars (think about all those used car trade-ins that are basically free inventory for the dealer). So knowing what I know, my best advice is to try and find some little old lady who has to give up her car because it will be cheap and in great condition. Knowing someone good with cars helps, too.
I hope you keep posting, even when thigs are crappy you put such a hilarious spin on it and of course I love polish. Good luck!!

    1. I’ve had this whole week to kind of look at all my options and it’s been rough! I keep hoping some magical thing happens. LOL I hate the fact that I am at their mercy because of my crappy credit I’m getting ready for this weekend since it’s going to be make or break time. I can’t take taxis anymore in the mornings at $20 a pop and I can’t possibly get to work at 5 am without a car so something’s going to have to give. I hope it’s not a total bust.

  6. YOU JOINED INSTAGRAM!!?!?! Uh… please find me so I can follow you back! How did I not know this?? Oh, cuz I’ve been pretty much offline except for twitter for like a month? That might be it. I love that Jindie Nails’ customer service is so great cuz unfortunately we know how rare that is these days. This polish looks cool and I like the pink but I think it’s just not for me.. I feel bad saying that! I always feel guilty when I don’t like a polish, it’s not you… it’s me!! I SWEAR! It’s still pretty tho and you’ll make someone very happy giving it away! 😀

    1. Don’t get too excited cause I barely even understand or even get the point of instagram. Remember how hard it was to get me to join twitter? You’d tell me how fun it was and I resisted for months and finally gave in? Well, IG is like a million times worse. So far I think it’s annoying and haven’t really posted much. I did follow a bunch of people today–including you–and I saw the bubba video!!!!!!!

  7. I gotta go with Nicole on this one…I want to like it, but it’s just not floating my boat. However, I’m sure that Jindie has a bunch of other stuff that will!
