CND Creative Play – First Impressions

Heyyyo! We are about two weeks away from the end of the year and I’m sitting here scratching my head wondering where most of the year went. I’m still sound of mind (debatable), so I guess I don’t have too much to complain about. I noticed that I’ve had these swatches in my drafts folder for about 3 months, so I figured I might as well clear them out. I don’t know why this incredible laziness comes over me when it comes to actually putting a blog post together. Many people will say that swatching, photographing and editing pictures are the hardest and most time consuming parts of blogging, but I dread sitting down and writing up posts the most.. I guess part of it is that I have severe blogger burnout. Every time I try to pump myself up, I end up just flaking out. Let’s put my general laziness aside and focus on the polish…oh the polish! I think that the CND Creative Play polishes are old news now, but when I first saw these a few months ago at my local beauty supply, I was intrigued because I had never heard of this line. CND is obviously a well known brand for professionals so I was very curious to see what the Creative Play line offered to us “non-professionals.” Well, let me show you some swatches of the four polishes I picked up.

Look, there is nothing revolutionary about these polishes, but they are nice. The cremes are deliciously smooth so you won’t be disappointed. The one polish that was little difficult was Isle Never let you go because it was so darn sheer. I ended up applying 4 coats to make it look good, but I have seen people layer it over other colors with pretty nice results. Overall, I think these are nice and safe polishes. I didn’t see too many unique colors in the full display, but I can see myself picking up more shades to round out my collection of staple colors. Let me know what you think of these polishes; have you seen them or tried any yet? Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. I’m totally with you. Swatches, pics and edits are always ready. Actually getting the post together is what I drag my feet on. This is a lovely post that makes me long for warm beach days. I like Isle Never Let You Go most!

  2. I’m off blogging at the mo but only due to giving my nails a break after an allergic reaction to something. I miss it so much and feel lost! Stunning and flawless swatches x

  3. I have been feeling the same exact way about blogging! I don’t know why but sometimes I just can’t see to sit down and write a post! I didn’t even know about this line! I will definitely have to check them out! I have on of their polishes but I never use it because I don’t have any other gel polishes!
