Cirque Colors Coronation

Do you know the satisfaction of finally getting a polish that you have been lusting over for a long time? Well, I was in heaven when Cirque did a pre-order for their glorious shade Coronation, and I was even more elated when I managed to get my hands on a bottle. There was definitely a fair share of drama surrounding the limited amount that was available during restock, so I count myself lucky that I was able to snag one. Let me show you my swatches of Cirque Colors Coronation.

Look, there is no denying it: Cirque Colors Coronation is a gorgeous polish. However, the demonic stench–not so great. Cirque has always had that very identifiable lavender scent so the absence of that scent maybe magnifies the smell of the base. I really don’t know what the issue is but the smell is not pleasant. There has been talk about a few indies receiving a stinky batch of base from one of their manufacturers, so this seems like a likely explanation considering Vapid also has some stinky polishes that were released recently. Additionally, the formula is very thick–almost unmanageable. I applied 3 coats of the polish for full opacity. I did not add any thinner to my bottle the first time I swatched it, but will definitely add a few drops when I use it again. While it may seems like I’m just being a complainer about the smell and the formula–which I am–I am still 100% happy I got it because this polish is just absolutely beautiful. I did not want to miss out on this so I do not regret buying it even if it did set me back $16.50. Let me know what you think about this polish in the comments below. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
