China Glaze Off Shore Collection Summer 2014 – Stoked To Be Soaked

Hey, how you doin’? I totally just said that in Joey’s voice.

Joey-Tribiani-How-You-DoinI had the most ridiculous dream last night and I’ve been feeling off because of it. Is that normal? I’ll just blame anything unpleasant on the heat and call it a day. As promised, today I have the second part of the China Glaze Off Shore Collection to show you. I think we can all agree that the polishes I showed you yesterday certainly were not neon. What will be today’s verdict? Let’s take a look at my swatches first.

I can tell you that as far as colors go, I much prefer the other half of the collection. Because I’ve been super obsessed with green lately, my two favorites are Shore Enuff and Be More Pacific. The formula on all of these is nice–not nightmarish like previous summer collections. Sun Upon My Skin and Stoked To Be Soaked are the brightest polishes here but they aren’t true neons. I am happy to report that the formula on all of these polishes is nice. For my swatches, I applied two coats of polish and 1 coat of Seche Vite for shine. I’m a little meh on the colors here, but the two greens are definite must-haves in my opinion. So what are your thoughts on this half of the collection? If you haven’t seen the first part, click here. Anyway, I hope you’re doing well and staying cool. Thanks for the visit today, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. I love be more pacific, sun upon my skin, and when in doubt surf it out! These are definitely going to be added to my wish list for when I can maybe one day afford new polish xD

  2. I’m so confused about why they called this collection neon. Yes, some of the colors are a little bright, but seriously? Shore Enuff is really pretty and may find its way home with me. Is Seas the Day Red? Coral? Coral-ly Red?

  3. I love these colors, they’re like pastel neons.. does than even make sense?

tbh, stoked to be soaked looks like a great replacement for sun worshiper.. let me know your input on this matter?

    1. That totally makes sense and I agree. You know what? I immediately thought of Sun Worshiper but I can’t be 100% sure if it’s a dupe because I got rid of my bottle of SW. Just by looking at it, I think it’s pretty close and it has a better formula so I’d go with Stoked To Be Soaked.

  4. Great swatches! Would you say Be More Pacific is an exact match for Grass Is Lime Greener? I can’t decide! Thanks! 🙂

  5. So, I am with you in that I am only kinda into the two greens and am kind of meh on the collection overall. At least the formulas were OK.
And it is totally normal to feel off because of a dream…at least it is for me, haha. Last night I had a dream I was roommates with Miley Cyrus, and I was annoyed she was partying all the time, but I knew I was moping around super-depressed, but still knew that partying with her crew wasn’t necessarily the solution. Sooo…yeah! LOL.

    1. That dream didn’t throw me off all day…it’s just the most recent one that I remember, lol.
