Can you believe August is right around the corner? I’m actually in complete disbelief because it has not felt like Summer at all in Southern California. In fact, the weather has been rather mild and I haven’t even had to use my AC yet…what in the world?? I know 2020 has kind of been garbage all-around, but I sure hope that things start to turn around for all of us. After July’s rewind theme, August is bringing us Weird Science! JReine Two Faced Twins

Hey guys! What’s going on? I’m keeping busy with work and with organizing all my stuff. I’m still going through the process of cleaning out my storage and getting rid of tons of clothes, books and random trinkets. The other day I found an old box of letter that my friends wrote to me when I was living in Paris and it was super fun to see some of that stuff. I also found my box of heartbreak that had a bunch of crap from rando guys who have passed through my life. I don’t know why I decided to keep that crap even though I never open the box or go through all that emotional garbage. Am I the only one who does this? Probably not, but hey, we all have our pasts and without all those experiences I wouldn’t be the emotionally stunted person that I am today! #kiddingnotkidding Anywho, today I have JReine Two Faced Twins to share with you so let me get to the swatches.

Zoya Splash – Summer 2020

Hey there! How’s your day going so far? I am doing pretty well, just trying to do what I can to stay sane. Sounds like the story of my life. I’ve been super SUPER busy at work lately so things are good. I know that due to the pandemic, many people have lost their jobs so I feel very fortunate to have had a steady job through all of this. I’ve also been busy getting my home in order since it takes time to find a place for everything and really get everything out of storage. I think that my bedroom is the place that still needs the most work–especially my closet. I literally have not worn normal clothes since like March and pretty much live in yoga pants and comfy tops so my clothes are in utter disarray. I am also losing weight (35 lbs down!) so I don’t know if my current wardrobe will still fit me in a few months. Anywho, it’s a good “problem” to have. I recently spent a good Saturday afternoon swatching a bunch of polishes and one of the collections I swatched is the Zoya Splash Collection for Summer 2020. Let me show you my swatches below. KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection

Hello there! This weekend was full of nail stuff because I decided to finally assemble the two Helmers that I purchased from Ikea back in April. I know…I know. In my defense, I didn’t technically receive them until the end of May, but because I had such a horrible time assembling my other Ikea furniture, I just put it on the back burner. I did manage to do some swatching before I ruined my hands and nails with more furniture assembling which is what I’m going to be sharing with you today. The KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection is a perfect example of a brand listening to their customers. After Sol What debuted in Polish Pickup, people went bonkers for it. KBShimmer Secret Menu – PPU & IPU June 2020

Ugh…here I go making excuses as to why I haven’t posted in a month. Well, you may know that I moved into my new apartment on 5/1 so it’s been really hectic. I pretty much moved on my own and it sucked. Since I moved during a difficult time, deliveries of things like furniture took much longer than expected. In fact, I just received the last of my big furniture orders. I do have my bed (which I had to get replaced since it was damaged during delivery) but I have almost everything else. I haven’t been able to really do the small things like decorative touches, but that’s not really a priority right now. As far as polish is concerned, I still have most of my pretties in storage while I wait to set up my Herlmers. Anywho, today I wanted to share a deliciously shifty polish and sugar scrub. Leave it to KBShimmer to ignite my desire to blog and post again! KBShimmer Secret Menu is a beautiful polish that will be available later this week so let me show you some swatches! KBShimmer Fruit Slices, Yummy Yummy – PPU & IPU May 2020

Hey there, long time no blog! I’ve been absent again because I’ve just been so stressed and anxious about everything going on. On top of that, I am just moving into my new apartment today so I’ve been preparing for that these last few weeks. I am basically furnishing my new place completely and it’s been difficult to get things due to all the shipping delays. I totally understand the delays, but it doesn’t make it any easier. I took a couple of weeks off from work to get all my stuff figured out so I hope that’s enough time. One of the few things that I can still do in quarantine to get my mind of stuff is maintaining my nail routine. I haven’t felt very inspired lately, but I am still taking care of my nails/cuticles. Hey, we survived another day so it’s a good day! Yesterday I posted on my Facebook about how some people may think that posting about nail polish is kind of trivial at this time. Personally, I got into polish many years ago as a way to work through depression and anxiety so I always turn to this hobby when I need to escape a bit. Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Ice Cream Shoppe Collection

Hello everyone! How are you holding up? I’ve got to be honest with you; I’m kind of starting to worry about all the craziness. Who would have thought that we would be in a situation where toilet paper is out of stock EVERYWHERE? I’m trying to keep level-headed and go about business as usual, but I am taking some precautions. In fact, I’m really trying to stay out of stores, restaurants and just not going anywhere if it’s not really necessary. I don’t really know what’s going to happen, but I don’t want to feed into the fear frenzy.
