Hey! How’s the scorching heat treating you? I have just about had it with this ridiculous heat wave and hope that we get back down to some reasonable temperatures. I think that the thing I worry most about when we have this type of weather is not so much about how uncomfortable it is, but more about the potential for increased wild fires. It’s absolutely devastating to see people go through it every year and I hope that for the sake of the wild fire potential, we start to cool off some. Today I am going to share with you the Prism Polish UK Bogus Adventure Collection which took me back to how much I loved Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure as a kid. I also am planning to watch Bill & Ted Face The Music if only to feel like I have watched the trilogy. And for Keanu. ‘Cause who doesn’t love Keanu? Anyway, let’s take a look at my swatches below. I can’t believe it’s September already. As I continue to navigate working on my health, weight loss, pandemic anxiety and all that other stuff that has us down, I have been playing with polish so much. Unfortunately, I don’t usually get past painting my nails and taking the pictures. Lately I have found the whole process of editing a couple of pictures from the dozens I took truly exhausting, but Polish Pickup never fails to get me excited to share with you guys. The theme for September is Halloween so there will be tons of fun shades and items to choose from. Today I will be sharing with you my swatches of JReine Land of The Lost which draws its inspiration from Marie Laveau. Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Woo hooo! PPU is coming up this Friday so here I am starting off the week showing you some pretties that you will be able to pick up once the shop opens up. The inspiration this month is Halloween, so you know that people are going to pull out all the stops and blow us away. If you’ve already seen all the posts about what will be offered, you know that our wallets are in for a shock. Today I am sharing with you Music City Beauty You Don’t Know Jack! which is a holographic polish with a dark smoky black base which a scattering of flakes. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.
Wow, posting two days in a row?! I’m on a roll! Actually, I just have TONS of stuff to share with you guys. How’s your Monday going? I’m chugging along still working on myself and getting organized. I knew that the cool weather was too good to be true so it’s been super hot here in SoCal for the past week. I haven’t been doing much outside lately, like exercising, but I think that it’s time to get my butt in gear. I know I had shared before that I have been working on getting healthy and such so I need to get back on track despite the warm weather. So, for today’s post I have some really fun polishes to share with you from the Prism Polish UK Wizarding Houses Collection and they are all currently available at Color4Nails. Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Continue reading “Prism Polish UK Wizarding Houses Collection”
Can you believe August is right around the corner? I’m actually in complete disbelief because it has not felt like Summer at all in Southern California. In fact, the weather has been rather mild and I haven’t even had to use my AC yet…what in the world?? I know 2020 has kind of been garbage all-around, but I sure hope that things start to turn around for all of us. After July’s rewind theme, August is bringing us Weird Science! If you’re old enough, you know you heard that song in your head. Today I’m going to be sharing KBShimmer He Slimed Me and the corresponding sugar scrub. Let me show you some swatches below.
Hey there! How’s your day going so far? I am doing pretty well, just trying to do what I can to stay sane. Sounds like the story of my life. I’ve been super SUPER busy at work lately so things are good. I know that due to the pandemic, many people have lost their jobs so I feel very fortunate to have had a steady job through all of this. I’ve also been busy getting my home in order since it takes time to find a place for everything and really get everything out of storage. I think that my bedroom is the place that still needs the most work–especially my closet. I literally have not worn normal clothes since like March and pretty much live in yoga pants and comfy tops so my clothes are in utter disarray. I am also losing weight (35 lbs down!) so I don’t know if my current wardrobe will still fit me in a few months. Anywho, it’s a good “problem” to have. I recently spent a good Saturday afternoon swatching a bunch of polishes and one of the collections I swatched is the Zoya Splash Collection for Summer 2020. Let me show you my swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Splash – Summer 2020”
Hello there! This weekend was full of nail stuff because I decided to finally assemble the two Helmers that I purchased from Ikea back in April. I know…I know. In my defense, I didn’t technically receive them until the end of May, but because I had such a horrible time assembling my other Ikea furniture, I just put it on the back burner. I did manage to do some swatching before I ruined my hands and nails with more furniture assembling which is what I’m going to be sharing with you today. The KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection is a perfect example of a brand listening to their customers. After Sol What debuted in Polish Pickup, people went bonkers for it. Then we got a blue version and finally we now have a gorgeous collection with a similar finish. Let me show you some swatches below. Continue reading “KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection”
Ugh…here I go making excuses as to why I haven’t posted in a month. Well, you may know that I moved into my new apartment on 5/1 so it’s been really hectic. I pretty much moved on my own and it sucked. Since I moved during a difficult time, deliveries of things like furniture took much longer than expected. In fact, I just received the last of my big furniture orders. I do have my bed (which I had to get replaced since it was damaged during delivery) but I have almost everything else. I haven’t been able to really do the small things like decorative touches, but that’s not really a priority right now. As far as polish is concerned, I still have most of my pretties in storage while I wait to set up my Herlmers. Anywho, today I wanted to share a deliciously shifty polish and sugar scrub. Leave it to KBShimmer to ignite my desire to blog and post again! KBShimmer Secret Menu is a beautiful polish that will be available later this week so let me show you some swatches!
